Flora

The state of Andhra Pradesh has a varied topography and is supported by varied ecotypes that support a rich diversity of flora. With a vegetation that usually belongs to dry deciduous form, the state of Andhra Pradesh has mangroves forming an important eco-system.

The state has about 3188.74 ha. of mangrove forests.

Fauna

The state of Andhra Pradesh hosts the hills of Eastern Ghats, which add greatly to the Biological Diversity and provide centers of endemism for plants, birds and lesser forms of animal life. In addition to providing varied habitat harbors to large diversity of fauna, the state serves as a habitat to few rare and endangered species that are endemic to the state
