----- A tall perennial grass. Stem 5-20 ft., full of pith, leaves erect; very long and narrow panicles up to 2 ft. usually rather contracted, silvery.
----- Common all over the State in moist places and near water courses.
----- Note : - Patridge identifies this species as " Barroo " which is used in making Indian pens. Any thickly noded grass can be used for this purpose but the actual Barroo is species of Pseudosorghum.
