Botanical Name - Pseudosorghum fasciculare

----- Pseudosorghum, A. camus.; Pseudosorghum fasciculare. A camus (Syn. Andropogon fasciculares, Roxb). Vern. Konda-jeri, (Tel).

----- Annual grass, sometimes nearly 5 ft. high. Culms simple or branched, smooth and glabrous, often nodding at the top. The leaves are narrow, tapering to a setaceous point; sheath glabrous or sparsely hairy, loose or close fitting. Inflorescence a panicle, green or sometimes tinted purplish, consisting of short racemes of spikelets. Racemes jointed. Sessile spikelet awned, pedicels not awned.

----- Found in the Telangana forests (on the eastern side of Pakhal lake) in comparatively shady places. It is eaten by cattle, only when young.
