Botanical Name - Oleaceae

----- Erect or scandent shrubs or trees. Leaves opposite (alternate in Jasminum humile, ) simple, 3-foliolate or pinnate; stipules none. Flowers regular in axillary or terminal, cymose panicles, as a rule bisexual. Calyx free; limb 4-5-or more-toothed or lobed or truncate. Corolla gamopetalous, 4-5-or more-lobed. Stamens 2, inserted on and included in the Corolla-tube; filaments usually short. Ovary free, 2-celled; ovules 1-2 in each cell; style short or long; stigma simple or 2-lobed. Fruit a dehiscent capsule or berry or drupe; seeds solitary or 2 in each cell.

Erect small tree. Fruit capsular, tripartite. ------------------ ..... (1) JASMINUM.
