A large or small deciduous
tree. Bark armed with
white prickles. Leaflets
entire, nearly glabrous. Flowers
scarlet, in dense unilateral racemes, 4-5 in. long with peduncle,
several racemes at the ends of stout branchlets. Pod
lanceolate, glabrous, 1-3-seeded, 2-4 in. long.

Not common. The uses and character
are the same as for E. suberosa and E. indica.
