Botanical Name - Crotolaria

----- Crotolaria, Linn. ; F.B.I. II - 65.

----- Herbs or shrubs. Leaves simple or 3-foliolate. Flowers usually yellow, sometimes blue or purple, showy, in terminal or leaf-opposed racemes. Calyx-tube short, teeth free or connate into 2 lips. Corolla equal to or exceeding the calyx ; standard shortly clawed, round ; wings and keel of the same length. Stamens monadelphous in a sheath split sorsally ; anthers alternately versatile and basifixed. Ovary usually sessile ; style long ; stigma minute. Pod 2-many-deeded, turgid or inflated.
