A true acquatic fern,
1 1/2 to 3 ft. or more high ; stipes stick, spongy, filled with
air-spaces ; frond succulent in texture, the barren ones simple
or divided a little or 2-3-pinnate ; fertile fronds 2-3-pinnate
; pinnae forked, pod like. Young fronds like a mass of veins or
vienlets without the leafy portion. Buds are frequently borne
by the fronds and these after falling produce new plants.

Found in the State in Pakhal marshes
( Pakhal Burgoo ) in the stream ; and near the ( Narsampet Range
Warangal ).
