Botanical Name - Aristida cyantha

----- Aristida cyantha, Steud. Vern. Shaitan-ka-Cherkha

----- A tufted perennial grass. Culms erect, slender, reaching a height of 6 ft. Inflorescence of large spreading terminal panicles of spiklets scated on scaberulous, flexuous pedicles. Spikelets purplish 1-flowered. Tripartite awn issues from the top of each spikelet.

----- This species is found rarer than A adscensionis.
