6-8 in. long (Telangana area), 8-12 in. long (Soay Gaon, Aurangabad)
stipes 4-6 in. long, tufted, polished. Fronds often rooting at
the tip, 6-12 in. long, 3 in. broad, pinnate, pinnae distinctly
stalked, half-moon shaped, frequently lobed. Rachis on both surfaces
naked. Texture herbacious. Sori Linear, frequently becoming confluent.

Found growing in moist and well shaded western or. northern slopes
(in crevices or in the open) of hills, rocky. and steep nallas,
etc. in Mahbubbabad, Nizamabad, and Aurangabad, most popularly
elsewgere as well. The fronds are used medicinally by the local
people. It is a beautiful fern which can easily be domesticated
with care.
